RLR MSport – previously called RLR Motorsport, is a team that’s carved its name into the world of endurance racing. Founded in the 2000s, they’ve competed in some of the most prestigious racing series out there, including the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), the Asian Le Mans Series, the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the British GT Championship.
Entry into Endurance Racing
The year 2010 marked RLR Motorsport’s entry into the ELMS. They steadily climbed the ranks, culminating in a phenomenal achievement in 2018 – a double championship win for both constructors and drivers! This victory pushed them as the top contenders in ELMS LMP3.
Le Mans 24 Hours
The team’s participation in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019 marked another milestone in their racing career. They fielded an Oreca 07 in the event, showcasing their capabilities on one of endurance racing’s biggest stages.

Technological Advancements and Simulation Integration
Always striving to be the best, RLR MSport partnered with Digital Motorsports to integrate a state-of-the-art racing simulator into their program. This high-tech simulator mimics real-world LMP3 driving conditions, allowing drivers to train effectively for each ELMS and Michelin Le Mans Cup round.
eSports and Driver Development
In 2020, RLR MSport teamed up with Abruzzi Racewear to establish a successful eSports program. The RLR Abruzzi eSports squad has been racking up wins and championship titles across various sim racing platforms like iRacing, rFactor2, and Assetto Corsa.
Recent Developments
RLR MSport’s dedication to endurance racing is undeniable. In the 2023 ELMS, they fielded a two-car entry, strategically putting drivers in both the #5 Ligier JSP320 LMP3 and the #15 car. This move solidified their commitment to staying competitive in the series. Their winning streak continued into the 2024 season, highlighted by a well-deserved victory at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.
2024 Season Success
RLR MSport achieved a notable victory in the 4 Hours of Le Castellet during the 2024 European Le Mans Series. This win demonstrates their continued strong performance in endurance racing. Strategic planning and technical skill were key factors in their success.

Note: In 2015, they raced under the name “University of Bolton” in both the ELMS and British GT Championship.
Throughout their time in the ELMS, RLR MSport has transitioned from LMP2 to LMP3 vehicles, showcasing their adaptability. The types of cars they’ve used included the MG-Lola EX265 (2010 and 2011), Ginetta-Juno LMP3 (2015), Ligier JS P3 (2016 – 2018), Oreca 07 (2019), and the Ligier JS P320 (2020 – 2024).
